About The Position
We are seeking a an Assistant Activity Coordinator for our Adult Day Program at Catholic Eldercare! Join our fun program team and make a difference in our participants lives!
Requirements
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record and Microsoft Office products
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- CPR, First Aid, & Airway Obstruction training or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year+ hands on experience working with a population with various diagnoses including dementia, preferred
- 1 year+ of supervisory experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to the activity coordinator in creating, planning, organizing, implementing and creating follow up on activities for programming.
- Training, directing, and supervising program staff and volunteers.
- Motivating and monitoring client participation in daily activities.
- Observing and acknowledging any symptoms or changes to client behavior.
- Transporting clients to and from programs and out outings as needed.
- Providing personal care for participants and assist with daily activities and meals.
