About The Position

A welcoming family in Piedmont, CA 94610, is seeking a compassionate, physically capable caregiver to support a 47-year-old living with terminal cancer who requires hands-on assistance with mobility and personal care. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, supportive presence in a household that includes two school-aged children and two friendly rescue dogs. Requirements

Direct experience with adult mobility assistance and safe physical transfer techniques.
Comfort and familiarity assisting with catheterization and ostomy bag maintenance.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle (or comfort driving a client vehicle).
Comfort working around children and pets.
Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Provide physical transfers and mobility support, including navigating stairs and bed transfers.
Assist with personal hygiene, bathroom routines, and standing support during catheterization and ostomy bag changes.
Prepare daily meals, including cooking lunch.
Drive client to medical appointments (some up to an hour away).
Provide afternoon school pickups and transportation to after-school activities for the children.
Walk the two dogs during the day.
Perform light household maintenance, such as laundry and vacuuming.
