About The Position

The Director of Adoption Support plays a key leadership role in guiding the daily operations of our Adoption Support Program; helping ensure children and families receive compassionate, high-quality support throughout their adoption journey. Our program serves children and families in Hillsborough County during and after the adoption process within the Dependency System, while also providing valuable services to families who have adopted privately. In this role, you will lead and support a dedicated team of clinical professionals by recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, mentoring, and empowering staff to deliver exceptional services. You will foster a collaborative, supportive team culture while ensuring the program operates efficiently and effectively. The Director is also responsible for overseeing contract compliance, maintaining accurate program data, and ensuring the timely submission of all required reports. Requirements

  • A Master’s degree is required and must be in a Human Services discipline from a four-year accredited college or university.
  • MSW degree preferred for MSW intern oversight.
  • Must possess knowledge of adoption through the Dependency System.
  • Required to have five years combined of clinical and supervisory experience; working with children and families.
  • Must have the ability to supervise, evaluate and lead staff.
  • Must have experience in supportive leadership, budget allocations, and community partnerships.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Required to have exceptional organization and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer usage including Microsoft Office products and Canva.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Trust Based Relational Intervention and Adoption Competency preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regular supervision and clinical oversight to 4 Adoption Counselors.
  • Utilize the most current and standardized clinical tools and modalities.
  • Plan, coordinate and assign cases, tasks, duties and support groups.
  • Complete compliance reports to funders and the agency board.
  • Track, monitor and analyze team data and processes.
  • Provide crisis management, support and psychoeducation to families who have adopted from the Dependency System.
  • Oversee social media postings and virtual support groups for the program.
  • Attend community events, funder meetings, provider networking meetings, and partnership meetings.
  • Comply with contract measures, budgets and requests for attendance at staffings, court hearings and events.
  • Oversee MSW interns, as necessary.
  • Complete financial reports, as needed, for the program.
  • Complete onboarding and training of new staff.
  • Partner with community agencies for referrals of families.
  • Maintain a light clinical case load of families.
  • Provide trainings to the community and within the agency.
