ADON/MDS Nurse Coordinator
About The Position
Otterbein Skilled Nursing & Rehab Neighborhood is seeking an ADON/MDS Nurse Coordinator, a critical member of the health care team responsible for all aspects of the MDS process. The role coordinates the development, completion, and transmission of assessments in accordance with regulatory requirements, and reviews and manages reimbursement. The MDS Coordinator case-manages care plans, including rehabilitative programs, and applies knowledge of clinical standards of practice, regulations, and reimbursement governing long-term care and Medicare participation. The position calls for detail orientation, leadership, and delivery of high-quality services in a person-centered environment. The successful candidate recognizes residents’ autonomy and dignity, communicates caring and concern, supports resident decision-making whenever appropriate, and makes prompt, accurate judgments regarding resident care and emergencies.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing program.
- Valid Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- MDS experience required.
- Restorative Nursing experience required.
- Sufficient computer skills to perform electronic medical record and submission duties.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to lead and deliver high-quality services.
- Knowledge of clinical standards of practice, regulations, and reimbursement governing long-term care and Medicare participation.
