About The Position

Tower Behavioral Health is seeking a Full-Time Inpatient Psychiatrist to provide coverage for our adult and adolescent inpatient psychiatric units. Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
Active Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain
DEA registration or ability to obtain
Interest or experience working with adult and adolescent populations
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Board certification in psychiatry
Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for inpatient adults and adolescents
Manage psychotropic medications and treatment interventions
Develop and update individualized treatment plans
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
Coordinate care with nursing, therapy, social work, and medical staff
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards
Provide clinical leadership and support for patient-centered care initiatives
Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
