About The Position

Tower Behavioral Health is seeking a Full-Time Inpatient Psychiatrist to provide coverage for our adult and adolescent inpatient psychiatric units. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Active Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain
  • DEA registration or ability to obtain
  • Interest or experience working with adult and adolescent populations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for inpatient adults and adolescents
  • Manage psychotropic medications and treatment interventions
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Coordinate care with nursing, therapy, social work, and medical staff
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards
  • Provide clinical leadership and support for patient-centered care initiatives
  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
