About The Position
The Hughes Center is seeking a full-time or part-time Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their team in Danville, Virginia. This role is situated within a residential treatment and day school setting, offering a supportive and collaborative work environment. The PMHNP will provide high-quality care to adolescent patients, working alongside a multidisciplinary team. The Hughes Center is a 96-bed facility serving ages 13-18, specializing in supporting young men and women diagnosed with intellectual disability and pervasive developmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Asperger Syndrome. The facility aims to help these youth develop skills for greater independence through educational, vocational, and therapeutic support. The campus is located on 60 acres and recently expanded with additional beds and resources.
Requirements
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Active or eligible Virginia license
- PMHNP training from an accredited program required
- Interest in child/adolescent cases involving Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disability, and PDD required
- Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating providers
