About The Position

Carle Health is seeking a BE/BC Adolescent Medicine Physician to join our pediatric subspecialty team in Illinois. Adolescent Medicine is a pediatric subspecialty focused on the physical, emotional, and social health of individuals transitioning from childhood to adulthood. This specialty plays a critical role in supporting young people through complex developmental, behavioral, and medical challenges while promoting independence and healthy decision-making. The selected physician will provide comprehensive care for adolescents and young adults, addressing preventive health needs, reproductive health concerns, eating disorders, substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and other complex medical issues in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized adolescent medicine services in an ambulatory setting, including comprehensive health assessments, treatment planning, and direct patient care.
Manage preventive health care, reproductive health concerns, eating disorders, substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and other complex adolescent health needs.
Support adolescents and families through the transition from childhood to adulthood while promoting patient autonomy, healthy lifestyle practices, and overall well-being.
Collaborate with patients, families, pediatric specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver coordinated, comprehensive care and optimize outcomes.
Utilize Epic and other integrated clinical resources to coordinate care, maintain accurate documentation, and support quality patient outcomes.
Perform approved point-of-care testing and ensure compliance with laboratory protocols, testing procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Work as an independent contributor within a supportive academic and pediatric subspecialty environment committed to clinical excellence.
