About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill an ADMS Test Analyst – AspenTech OSI position for our client. This role involves performing end-to-end testing for AspenTech OSI ADMS applications, including SCADA Operations Manager (SOM), Outage Management System (OMS), and Advanced Applications. The analyst will execute various types of testing, develop and execute test cases, validate distribution system functionality, and review network models. The position also requires supporting integrated system testing, translating operational workflows into test scenarios, managing defects, and assisting with performance and load testing. Collaboration with various stakeholders and maintaining testing documentation are key responsibilities. The role is remote and has a duration of 18 months.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end testing methodologies for utility Energy & Utilities (E&U) applications.
  • Hands-on experience testing AspenTech OSI ADMS, including SOM, OMS, and Advanced Applications.
  • Knowledge of electric distribution systems, utility operations, and distribution network topology.
  • Experience with functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
  • Ability to create detailed test cases from business requirements and operational use cases.
  • Experience validating network models against real-world system topology and operating conditions.
  • Understanding of integrated utility systems and interfaces, including SCADA, GIS, OMS, SOM, AMI, and ICCP.
  • Strong defect management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to support performance and large-scale scenario testing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate test progress, findings, issues, and risks effectively to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience as a Test Analyst, QA Analyst, or Test Engineer supporting Energy & Utilities applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with AspenTech OSI ADMS or comparable Advanced Distribution Management Systems.
  • Experience testing utility distribution management, outage management, or related operational technology applications.
  • Experience working with integrated utility environments involving SCADA, GIS, OMS, AMI, and/or ICCP.
  • Experience developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Experience managing defects from identification through resolution and validation.
  • Experience working in complex, cross-functional technology implementations involving business and technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end testing for AspenTech OSI ADMS applications, including SCADA Operations Manager (SOM), Outage Management System (OMS), and Advanced Applications.
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for ADMS applications.
  • Develop and execute test cases based on business requirements, technical specifications, and utility operational use cases.
  • Validate distribution system functionality, requirements, and operational scenarios.
  • Review and validate network models for accuracy, including real-world topology, equipment, connectivity, and operating conditions.
  • Support integrated system testing across SCADA, GIS, OMS, SOM, AMI, and ICCP interfaces.
  • Translate utility operational workflows and use cases into detailed, traceable test scenarios and test cases.
  • Identify, document, triage, and analyze defects; work with development and functional teams through resolution and retesting.
  • Assist with large-scale performance, load, and scenario-based testing of ADMS applications.
  • Monitor and report test execution progress, results, defects, risks, and issues to project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business users, utility subject matter experts, developers, system integrators, and other project team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Maintain testing documentation, evidence, and status reports throughout the project lifecycle.
