About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Department Director or designee, the Admitting Coordinator I is responsible for processing in and out patients at the front desk, scheduling exams, verifying insurance information and patients’ demographics, and verifying proper orders for billing.

Requirements

  • Computer literate and typing skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience of at least one year in hospital or medical office setting

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance billing preferred
  • Knowledge of all areas of diagnostic imaging including Cardiology and Pulmonary departments
  • Medical terminology strongly preferred
