Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH) in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for over 70 years. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, a weight–loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women’s and children’s services. Manatee Memorial Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs. This position is responsible for managing the daily functions of the Admissions Department. This includes coordinating inpatient admissions, outpatient registrations, emergency registrations, bed management, and financial counseling processes. The role serves as a liaison between Admissions and the central billing office and is responsible for maintaining Service Excellence standards within the Admissions Department. The supervisor will counsel and administer corrective action when applicable, and meet the educational and developmental needs of the staff by conducting monthly staff meetings, orienting and training new employees, and providing on-going training. Additionally, the role involves monitoring reports relative to the work area for compliance to policy and procedure and on-going evaluation of indicated changes. The supervisor will also perform job candidate interviews and hire new employees, demonstrating Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
