About The Position

This is a part-time Admissions Specialist position at Globe. The role involves providing direct assistance to prospective and returning students with all admissions processes, both in-person and electronically. Key responsibilities include gathering and verifying necessary documentation, assisting students with tuition and fees, managing student accounts, and responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person. The specialist will also be responsible for maintaining organized records, preparing communications and reports, and fostering constructive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. A Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required for employment.

Requirements

  • A combination of training, education, and experience in the various areas of responsibilities that will enable the employee to succeed.
  • Ability to pass a background screening process and/or obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is necessary.
  • One year of direct experience with professional business office practices/procedures and productivity enhancing technologies and office equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail skills including grammar, punctuation, spelling, and proofreading skills.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience within an office environment providing a wide range of assistance to various stakeholders (customers, clients, co-workers, etc.).
  • Direct experience within an educational environment assisting incoming students with admission, registration, and/or other related student services processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct assistance to prospective and returning students with all admissions processes in-person or electronically.
  • Gather necessary documentation required by College policy and procedures for each admission; verify submitted documentation as meeting College and AZ Proposition 300 and 308 requirements and notify students of status.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records to support audit requirements.
  • Assist students in determining tuition, fees, or other costs of attendance and assist incoming students with student account(s) access, enrollment processes, or other student records processes as needed.
  • Understand and follow College policies and procedures; assist others in understanding and following College policies and procedures.
  • Respond to phones, emails, and in-person questions/requests from College stakeholders.
  • Prepare a variety of communications, reports, files, and information/data media.
  • Maintain files, records, and other data in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of information within the College.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work and workflows.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and other College stakeholders and provide professional admissions processing and student service.
  • Assist co-workers and College stakeholders with the follow-through and completion of business processes as needed.
  • Maintain business environment and situational awareness to understand and respond effectively by providing appropriate assistance to College stakeholders as needed.
  • Perform similar duties not specifically listed as directed.
