About The Position

Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in Greenville, Texas, providing care for adults and seniors. The hospital has a reputation for excellence in treating mental health and addiction problems, with a staff dedicated to researching and applying the latest treatment approaches. The Admissions RN is responsible for the timely processing of inquiry and referral calls, coordinating all admissions processes, and serving as a liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, unit and hospital personnel. This role involves verifying insurance, triaging patients, completing assessments, staffing clinical effectively, entering call and admission data into the computer, completing all admission paperwork, communicating with unit staff, assisting patients to the unit, and pre-certifying with payor sources, all while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited RN program.
Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
CPR certification.
Successful completion of Handle with Care, Verbal De-escalation, and CPR prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care.
Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.
