About The Position

Gaudenzia is seeking hope-bringers and changemakers for the Admissions RN Assessor role. This position is responsible for promoting long-term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to people with substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions. Requirements

  • A Registered Nurse in the state of PA or Multistate with an active in good standing license.
  • Knowledge of the basic principles, philosophies, practices, and procedures of Gaudenzia.
  • Knowledge of the bio-psycho-social characteristics and manifestations of substance use disorder and/or mental illness.
  • Ability to simultaneously communicate telephonically with the use of technology for data.
  • Proficiency with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to type 65-75 words per minute.
  • Ability to work effectively with people and aid them in adjusting to their specific problems.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated willingness to work within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to act rationally and decisively in tense or time-sensitive situations.
  • Ability to engage effectively and thoughtfully with each caller, exhibiting patience.
  • Ability to exercise good listening and verbal skills.
  • Ability to support and demonstrate adherence to Gaudenzia's Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct and all personnel policies and procedures.
  • Counseling experience.

  • RN with Drug and Alcohol Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Completing the Helpline’s referral, admissions, and level of care (LOC) assessment process, including all related administrative functions such as scheduling client transportation.
  • Serving as the coordinator for new admissions, ensuring all aspects of the intake and LOC assessment process are completed and recorded in the electronic health record (EHR) system within required timeframes.
  • Communicating with external entities including referral sources, community, and internal Helpline and program management, and maintaining an ongoing working relationship with the marketing department.
  • Supporting the achievement of Helpline utilization goals and objectives.
  • Conducting intake and LOC assessments, including ASAM, with a focus on creating a client-centered experience.
  • Entering timely and accurate intake and assessment data into the agency’s EHR and spreadsheets.
  • Communicating clearly with clinical team members.
  • Tracking referrals and generating daily reports of admission and discharge statuses.
