About The Position

Mass General Brigham Home Care is seeking an Admissions Registered Nurse to join their Start of Care North team. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, use clinical judgment, and make a difference in patients' homes. As an RN, you will have the independence to manage your patients and schedule, supported by a strong team. The position is full-time (36 hours) with a Tuesday-Friday schedule (9-hour days) and no evenings. You will be responsible for 3 starts of care visits per day and have the autonomy to manage your own schedule and appointments. The role involves working with a diverse patient population and providing care in their homes. The team offers ancillary support services, a strong team culture with monthly meetings and quarterly in-person days, and ongoing opportunities for training, education, and professional development. The onboarding process is designed to prepare you for independent work in the community. Your schedule includes dedicated time for documentation, chart review, and care coordination using the MGB electronic documentation system. Safety resources, including GPS-enabled safety tools, real-time alert features, and security-supported key fob access, are provided for field support.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
  • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
  • At least one year of acute care nursing experience
  • Comfort working with various computer systems
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work with diverse populations
  • Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and electronic
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently and remain self-directed in unpredictable situations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team
  • Willingness to travel within the MGB Healthcare at Home geographic area
