About The Position

Louisiana Tech University is seeking highly motivated and energetic individuals to join their team as Admissions Recruiters. This role operates in a fast-paced environment, primarily from the Main Campus. The Admissions Recruiter will be responsible for engaging prospective high school students through various communication channels, traveling to recruiting events, and planning and executing recruitment events within their assigned territory. A valid driver's license is required for travel.

• Extensive use of Excel, Word, and other campus computing systems (SLATE or other CRM)
• Familiarity with higher education
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends
• Ability to drive to work independently and take initiative

Responsibilities

• Recruit prospective high school students via high school visits, college fairs, text message, phone calls, e-mail correspondence, etc.
• Travel to various recruiting events, including overnight travel and some weekends.
• Meet with prospective freshman and their families.
• Educate prospective students on Tech's admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, available majors, and employer/graduate school recruitment.
• Assist with visit opportunities held on Saturdays.
• Plan and execute events within assigned territory, such as counselor breakfasts, yield events, socials, and counselor trips to campus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
