We offer an extensive onboarding experience with a dedicated Preceptor and a dedicated professional development specialist. Our nurses collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and carry out a patient centered plan of care. This position involves treating a diverse patient population with a variety of medical conditions. The admission RN uses strong interpersonal skills and communication to accurately obtain and document patient specific information. Admission RN: Practices autonomously and consistently with professional practice standards while considering the patient's unique and individualized care needs. Demonstrates accountability as a care team member in meeting basic patient and family needs. Demonstrates leadership and high reliability behaviors to ensure positive outcomes and maintain safety. Utilizes high quality verbal and written communication skills during the patient interview process and participates in the delivery of significant patient centered information from one level or location of care and from one caregiver to another. Active participation and contribution towards organization success through quality improvement projects, shared governance council and task force meetings. Provides patient and family education that meets the diverse needs of the patient population.

Requirements

  • BSN or ADN
  • CT RN License in good standing.
  • One year of clinical nursing experience in acute or subacute care.
  • Current State of Connecticut licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Strong team skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from a professional nursing body preferred.
