About The Position

The Admissions Evaluator 1 is an integral member of the undergraduate admissions team, responsible for providing undergraduate admission advice, service, preparing electronic files for evaluation, and evaluating High School applications. This role involves interpreting and implementing admission policies and procedures, organizing and managing information, assessing file completeness, and requesting further documentation. The position also maintains and updates applicant information, runs quality assurance queries, and troubleshoots issues to ensure timely processing of applications. The Admissions Evaluator 1 handles undergraduate application acknowledgement and full processing of High School applications for specific domestic and international curricula. They also support student inquiries escalated from the Student Service Centre via phone, live chat, and email. This role requires problem-solving and discretionary decision-making to resolve student inquiries and determine necessary escalations, covering a broad range of issues related to admissions and registration policies, procedures, or programs. The Admissions Evaluator 1 must accurately explain these to prospective students, applicants, and parents, and be aware of services offered by other campus offices for appropriate referrals. They operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer-oriented environment and take appropriate action in common circumstances.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide undergraduate admission advice and service.
  • Prepare electronic files for evaluation.
  • Evaluate High School applications involving specific curricula and make admission decisions.
  • Interpret and implement admission policies and procedures.
  • Organize and manage information and documentation to complete evaluations.
  • Assess file completeness and request further documentation and/or transcripts as needed.
  • Maintain and update applicant information, including English Language Proficiency and Spoken English Proficiency.
  • Run a variety of quality assurance queries that support curriculum applications.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise within the scope of their work to process applications in a timely manner.
  • Handle undergraduate application acknowledgement and full processing of High School applications of specific curricula (domestic and specific international curricula).
  • Support student inquiries received via phone, live chat and email escalated from the Student Service Centre.
  • Problem-solve and make discretionary decisions to resolve student inquiries or determine necessary escalations.
