About The Position

Roman Eagle is seeking an experienced and motivated Admissions Director to lead the admissions and referral process for our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. This key leadership role serves as the primary liaison between referral sources, prospective residents, families and facility staff to ensure a smooth admission experience while supporting census growth and exceptional customer service. The Admissions Director is responsible for managing referrals and admissions from initial inquiry through admission, conducting pre-admission assessments, verifying insurance coverage, maintaining admission documentation, and developing relationships with healthcare partners throughout the community. The successful candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

Experience in long-term care admissions, healthcare marketing, sales, or a related healthcare field.
Experience with insurance verification and insurance portals.
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency with computer systems and business software applications.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with PointClickCare.
Experience using insurance portals such as Availity, Carelon, and NaviHealth.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all incoming referrals and admissions.
Conduct pre-admission clinical and financial assessments.
Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and authorization requirements.
Ensure admission paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
Maintain complete and accurate admission documentation within the electronic health record system.
Complete required screenings prior to admission.
Conduct tours for prospective residents and family members.
Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, and other referral sources.
Represent the facility professionally within the healthcare community.
Participate in marketing initiatives and census development activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state admission regulations.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social services, business office, and other departments to facilitate successful admissions and transitions of care.
Utilize EHR systems and facility software effectively.
Monitor admission trends and provide regular reports to facility leadership.
