The primary purpose of your job is to support facility operations by increasing the facility census. This role involves managing the admissions process efficiently to ensure a positive experience for residents, families, and supporting staff. The Admissions Director plans, directs, and monitors the daily operations of the Admissions Department to ensure that budgeted resident census goals are met and that residents are admitted in a professional and efficient manner. This includes admitting patients, screening them based on admission criteria, and completing all necessary admission and financial responsibility forms. The position requires the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Sales and Marketing department. Collaboration with leaders of other facility departments is essential for timely communication and to enhance the admissions experience. The role also involves confirming insurance benefit coverage, coordinating support services, obtaining and verifying applicant information, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of facility services. The Admissions Director oversees patient bed assignments, preliminary paperwork, and completes resident intake processes in coordination with the Director of Nursing and/or Case Manager. They also initiate, nurture, and maintain contacts with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners to maximize referrals and facilitate admissions. Daily stand-up meetings are mandatory, and familiarity with Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill, and Evacuation Procedures is required. Maintaining resident care information confidentiality and protecting organizational reputation are critical. The role may also involve assisting in planning and executing outreach events and updating job knowledge through continuous learning.
