About The Position
The purpose of this position is to recruit prospective students to Texas State through visits from high schools, two-year colleges, and counseling students, parents, and visiting guests. The Admissions Counselor position requires excellent oral and written communication skills as well as exceptional interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with family programming
- Current or former Texas State University employee or alumnus
- Two or more years of prior professional experience in college admissions
- Bilingual Spanish speaking
- Experience coordinating events, programs, or group visits.
- Experience presenting to large groups
- Experience working independently with minimum supervision
