The Admissions Counselor is a student-centered, data-informed, proactive case manager who serves as the first and primary point of contact from student admittance through first registration. Admissions Counselors provide personalized, one-stop support by assisting students with admissions processes, program exploration, enrollment requirements, financial aid initiation, registration readiness, and connection to college resources. This role is designed to help students successfully navigate the onboarding process, overcome barriers to enrollment, and make informed decisions that support their educational and career goals. Admissions Counselors maintain an assigned caseload of prospective and applicant students and use proactive outreach, regular student contact, institutional data, and student success measures to anticipate student needs and provide timely support. Admissions Counselors are expected to build strong relationships with students, collaborate across departments, and provide consistent, accurate guidance aligned with college policies, enrollment processes, academic program requirements, and the Student Success model. Admissions Counselors facilitate presentations and provide support in group settings, including high school orientations, First Flight programming, campus visits, and other enrollment-related events. They assist students through multiple service modalities, including appointments, virtual communication, CRM outreach, and walk-in support. Admissions Counselors work in partnership with College Navigators and other Student Success staff, Academic Affairs, Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Account Services, and other college offices to ensure consistency of student experience, singularity of mission, and overall institutional success. The essential functions of this position require a physical presence on site.
