About The Position
The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for planning and conducting presentations and programs for small and large groups. This role requires flexibility, a positive attitude, and a team-oriented approach. A strong understanding of and appreciation for the mission of the University is essential, as is a genuine interest in and/or experience interacting with a diverse student and parent population. The position also requires knowledge of business concepts, theories, and/or specialized principles, policies, and techniques of a professional field or discipline.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to plan and conduct small and large group presentations/programs
- Must be flexible, positive, and team-oriented
- Understanding of and appreciation for the mission of the University
- Genuine interest and/or experience in interacting with a diverse population of students and parents
- Knowledge of business concepts, theories and/or specialized principles, policies and techniques of a professional field or discipline
Nice To Haves
- Prior work experience in admission, college advising, college counseling, financial literacy or financial education
- Experience in counseling high school students on college preparation and affordability
- Experience in Slate, Customer Relationship Management ( CRM ) system
