About The Position

The Main Campus Admissions Counselor is primarily responsible for representing Post University at various recruitment events, high school visits, and classroom presentations. They will assist prospective students throughout the enrollment process and develop relationships with educational professionals, students, and parents in an assigned geographic area. Key duties include attending recruitment events, generating leads, maintaining database accuracy, and conducting professional information sessions. The role requires extensive travel, including evenings and weekends, and involves managing a territory, participating in events, handling student files, and meeting enrollment goals in a metrics-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet applications, and database software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented, focused environment.
  • Possesses knowledge of all applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.

  • One to two years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Post University at recruitment events, high school visits, and classroom presentations.
  • Assist prospective students throughout the enrollment process.
  • Develop and foster relationships with High School and Community College teachers, administrators, prospective students, and their parents.
  • Attend high school visits, college fairs, and on- and off-campus events.
  • Generate and collect quality leads from prospective students.
  • Input and maintain clean data in the recruitment database.
  • Conduct professional information sessions with School Counselors, Transfer Coordinators, prospective students, and their families.
  • Build and maintain a travel schedule including college fairs, high school visits, instant decision events, and other engagement programs.
  • Manage an assigned territory.
  • Participate in meetings and events on and off campus.
  • Manage student files.
  • Meet or exceed established team and individual enrollment goals.
  • Participate in weekly team and floor-wide meetings.
  • Respond promptly to student inquiries.
  • Enter student enrollment information.
  • Follow up with prospective students/applicants and record results in the database.
  • Collaborate with Financial Aid, Advising, and other departments.
  • Participate in student registration and development activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
