The School of Public Policy’s (SPP) Admissions Counselor supports all aspects of the multi-deadline application and pre-enrollment processes for the School’s graduate programs, supporting the conversion of domestic and international applicants to enrolled students. This role serves as an interface between multiple university offices to provide student services that leads to a high rate of application completion and enrollment conversion. The counselor will also create and maintain admissions procedures for the graduate programs, evaluate academic records, review admission documents for completeness, and manage application triage and admissions decisions. Additionally, the position involves tracking admissions offers and deposits, facilitating student record creation and communication, assisting with visa document issuance for international students, and training and supervising student staff. The role also supports and participates in admissions and yield-related events, special projects, and serves in a back-up capacity for other school staff as needed.
