Requirements

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

Previous admissions, healthcare intake, business development, or skilled nursing experience preferred
Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care, and insurance verification processes preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work effectively with residents, families, hospital partners, and facility staff
college coursework in healthcare administration or related field is a plus

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the admissions process from referral through admission
Review referral information for accuracy and completeness
Communicate with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and referral sources to facilitate admissions
Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary documentation
Collaborate with clinical and interdisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate resident placements
Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families
Maintain accurate admission records and census information
Follow up on pending referrals and inquiries
Assist with marketing and community outreach efforts as assigned
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility admission requirements
