About The Position

Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health is seeking an Admissions Coordinator for their Patient Access Admitting department in Hoffman Estates, IL. This is a full-time, day shift position with hours from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm. The role involves performing onsite clinical assessments, coordinating the transfer process, and assisting the supervisor with process improvements. Responsibilities also include pre-admission assessment, insurance verification, and pre-certification.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing preferred.
Rehab Therapist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation preferred.
Social Worker credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation preferred.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology
1 year of behavioral health experience preferred

Responsibilities

Perform onsite clinical assessments of potential candidates.
Coordinate transfer process, working with referral sources, insurance companies, and various healthcare staff and departments.
Assist the supervisor with the development and improvement of processes designed to keep referral sources informed of patient status and discharge recommendations.
Provide pre-admission assessment, insurance verification, and pre-certification for admission.
