About The Position

The Admissions Coordinator will engage with prospective students and families to share what makes Freire Schools special and guide them through the admissions process. This role holds a key position that will often represent a visitor’s first impression of Freire Schools. The ideal candidate is a people person who can make a compelling pitch to kids and adults, and possesses the organizational skills necessary to manage multiple processes and timelines associated with the admissions process.

Requirements

Associate's degree or higher
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to complete projects in a timely manner and adhere to numerous deadlines
Professional, personable and welcoming to current and prospective students and their families
Willingness to perform various tasks as needed in support of the extended Freire community with occasional weekend or evening events.
Experience working with databases, student information systems, and Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

Lead tours of the school and represent Freire Charter High School at admissions fairs, school presentations, and community events
Lead admissions presentations at local school and city-wide school fairs
Answer communications from families around admissions deadlines and requirements
Prepare and process enrollment packets received from families through the lottery or regular wait list pulls
Create, process, and send mailings to prospective families throughout the school year with important admissions information
Track overall school enrollment numbers and conduct student wait list pulls as needed
Maintain the admissions database and keep track of student records. This includes processing student enrollment packets and collecting all necessary documents from prospective families
This role will likely include a variety of other non-admissions related or operations tasks
