About The Position

As a trusted nonprofit senior living community, we offer Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, Transitional Care, and Hospice services—all on one vibrant campus. We're seeking an experienced Admissions Coordinator who is passionate about helping older adults and their families navigate the transition into senior living. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys building relationships, and has a strong understanding of the admissions process.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Social Work, or a related field
  • Experience in skilled nursing, assisted living, rehabilitation, or senior living admissions preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and prior authorization processes
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Nice To Haves

  • RN or LPN licensure is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the admissions process from referral through resident move-in.
  • Review referrals and gather clinical, financial, and insurance information.
  • Coordinate pre-admission screenings and insurance authorizations.
  • Conduct tours for prospective residents and families while providing education about services and amenities.
  • Collaborate with hospitals, discharge planners, physicians, and internal departments to facilitate smooth admissions.
  • Maintain accurate admission documentation within the EMR.
  • Track inquiries, referrals, waiting lists, and census activity.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources to support census growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal admission regulations.
  • Support community outreach, marketing initiatives, and special projects as assigned.
