About The Position

The Admissions Clinician provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for ages 5-17. Our treatment programs provide a structured and supportive treatment environment that promotes self-acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Our multidisciplinary treatment teams consist of psychiatrists, licensed therapists and highly specialized nurses who collaborate to develop and implement effective and compassionate treatment plans for our patients. Cedar Ridge is a behavioral health facility that encompasses a 116-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center on a beautifully wooded campus with a stocked pond, school, outdoor courtyard and playground.

Requirements

  • Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population required preferably in an inpatient setting.
  • Registered Nurse or Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work field required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Successfully complete a drug test.
  • Successfully pass national background check.
  • Strong Computer skills.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Strong Leadership skills.
  • Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior.
  • The ideal candidate is dependable, empathetic, compassionate and must be reliable.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or licensure/license eligible for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred.
