The Admissions Clerk is responsible for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and outpatients undergoing hospital-based testing or procedures. This role ensures accurate patient information collection, informs patients about hospital policies, interviews patients or their representatives, enters admission data into the computer database, and distributes information to relevant departments. The position also involves participating in performance improvement and CQI activities, operating a multi-line phone system, handling hospital paging, and performing cashier duties for patients and employees. Other assigned duties may also be part of this role.
