Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including public speaking required.
  • Social media and computer proficiency are also required.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial communication to all prospective students and verify interest and basic eligibility. Repeat contact at the expected rate and show maximum due diligence in converting prospects to applications.
  • Assign interested prospects to Student Recruiting Specialists based on caseload sizes and availability.
  • Answer calls from prospective students as required.
  • Support prospective students in creation of their profile in My Job Corps and beginning their application and document upload.
  • As they are complete, review all admissions folders same-day as submitted to ensure all required information is included and forwarded to the appropriate Job Corps centers. Present findings and concerns to supervisor.
  • Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of student services. Prepare related reports.
  • Audit case notes and Comms Log each month. Identify errors for correction utilizing the MTC error correction form. Present findings and concerns to supervisor.
  • Make contact with all withdrawn applicants to reengage interest in reopening applications.
  • Conduct pre-departure calls to applicants pending arrival and coordinate with center records.
  • Follow up with assigned Job Corps Center if file is pending review more than 14 days.
  • Audit constitute issues report weekly. Present findings and concerns to the supervisor.
  • Audit open cases monthly. Present findings and concerns to the supervisor.
  • Promote the development of career success standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students when necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
  • Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps’ Zero Tolerance Policy.
  • Maintain accountability of property; adhere to safety practices. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
