About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall Marketing and Community Relations for Arcadia Senior Living. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Admissions and Marketing Coordinator provides specific resources as required in actively communicating the services, amenities, and environments unique to the facility. The primary focus of this position is to provide the resources as required to obtain and maintain stabilized occupancy in our communities within the parameters of the budget. This position is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing their subordinate team members through coaching, teaching, and overall accountability. The Admissions and Marketing Coordinator supports the philosophy of Arcadia: To create environments that respect the emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual needs of our residents, to attract, retain, and develop exceptional staff, and to create communities that define exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Associate Degree
  • Minimum of three years experience in marketing/sales specifically in senior housing or related experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Work and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written, verbal, grammatical and punctuation skills required.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently and make decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Pleasant, professional and personal manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, interpersonal and mediation skills, strong working knowledge of employment laws and company regulations.
  • Willing to work the assigned shift, some weekends, and holidays.
  • Comply with state specific requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred in Marketing or a field related to the position.
  • Minimum three years experience in Independent, Assisted Living, Alzheimer’s or Memory Loss sales/marketing, or related experience in the Senior Housing.
  • Experience as Director of Sales/Marketing or Public Relations

Responsibilities

  • Performs facility marketing and sales activities including community events, prospective resident generation, tours, prospective resident follow-up and direct sales.
  • Monitors sales and other key metrics to ensure maximum results that assist in maintaining occupancy.
  • Develop and implement an annual Marketing Action Plan, reviewed quarterly and updated monthly.
  • Ensures company profitability by meeting all facility activity and marketing budgets and census guidelines as set by Avant.
  • Develops and implements purposeful, relevant and innovative in-house events and functions that will generate new traffic into the community.
  • Conduct in-depth competition studies to determine strengths/weaknesses, census levels, rental rates, range of services, department leaders, advertising/promotions, menu/food service, activities, amenities, etc.
  • Manages inventory and distribution of all collateral marketing materials including handouts, post cards, brochures, etc.
  • Identifies overall trends in the marketplace that would indicate adjustments to be made in the overall marketing strategy for the community.
  • Works with the Executive Director, to develop specific marketing plans for the facility on a quarterly basis or as needed for occupancy or programming changes. This plan includes: methods of promoting services and programs for each facility, frequency, type and style of media advertisement, and specific outreach criteria such as but not limited to: number of telephone calls to be made daily, number and type of outreach activities, community events, and other specific guidelines to designed to increase community awareness.
  • Works with the Executive Director in weekly communication with the facility monitoring actual marketing/sales activities. This information is summarized in a report that includes; number of telephone calls conducted, inquiries made, tours performed, deposits taken, respites scheduled, move-ins and move-outs, and outreach performed.
  • Responsible for all publications, communication tools, content and design, used in the promotion of the Arcadia Senior Living. Those tools include website content, collateral material, promotional material, letterhead, business cards, and other material used in daily communication with our communities, vendors, owners, resident and families, media, and others.
  • Supports the Executive Directors in maintaining compliance with all local, state, federal and licensing rules and regulations associated with the licensure of the building as they pertain to marketing and sales activities. This includes HIPAA, OHSA, and State Survey issues, etc that apply to the specific location of the property. Issues raised by any regulator will be immediately discussed with Arcadia Senior Living.
  • Supports and assists to insure that employees reporting to work, work in a safe manner and that unsafe actions are to be managed. Compliance with Safety Committee Standards is required. Should workplace injuries occur, the Department Heads and Directors are to assist the Executive Director when required with the investigation, return to work, and management of the injured worker communication with care provider and Avant.
  • Responsible for fostering teamwork with co-workers, showing initiative in overcoming obstacles, takes actions, which assist others beyond job responsibilities, and has a positive impact on co-workers, residents and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
