About The Position

Good Shepherd Community Care, a community-based, mission-driven hospice and palliative care organization named one of The Boston Globe's Top Places to Work in Massachusetts for the last four years, seeks an Admission Nurse Director to join its expanding admissions team. This role is responsible for leading and overseeing the organization’s admissions function, including clinical quality, documentation standards, staffing structure, operational flow, and professional development of the admissions team. The Admission Nurse Director is accountable for ensuring a timely, clinically appropriate, patient-centered admission process while supporting strong collaboration across intake, community development, and clinical teams. This role is responsible for driving consistency, accountability, and process improvement throughout the referral-to-admission continuum.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse, licensed in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience.
  • Two years of management experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage clinical operations, navigate team dynamics, and foster collaborative working relationships across departments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Google Workplace and electronic medical records.
