About The Position

Austin Oaks Hospital is seeking a qualified, energetic and positive candidate for the Admissions Generalist - Full-time EVENING, 3p-11p. The Admission Generalist serves as the initial contact for admission inquiries. Routes prospective patient / inquirer to appropriate person for assessment. Answers and forward incoming calls. Provides accurate and timely data entry, coping of documents, and daily census reports. To assist admissions in providing direct patient care and supervision of all psychiatric patients; to ensure safety, including crisis intervention.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the initial contact for admission inquiries.
• Routes prospective patient / inquirer to appropriate person for assessment.
• Answers and forward incoming calls.
• Provides accurate and timely data entry in MS4, coping of documents, and patient rounding.
• To assist admissions in providing direct patient care and supervision of all psychiatric patients; to ensure safety, including crisis intervention.
