About The Position
The Admission/Discharge/Resource RN position is responsible for assisting in hospital throughput initiatives by prioritizing the completion of admission documentation and discharging patients. This role assists in providing disease-specific education and is available as a resource to nursing units experiencing high acuity and/or high turnover of patients. The position also assists in auditing electronic medical records and provides unit-based support for other initiatives as requested. The RN is responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Duties include monitoring patients, administering medications, keeping records, consulting with healthcare providers, and educating patients.

Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
- Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
- Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
- Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
- Records patient vital signs and medical information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
