About The Position

DePauw University is seeking to fill an Admission Counselor position. This role is crucial for managing an assigned recruitment territory, which involves traveling to high schools and college fairs to meet with prospective students and their families. The Admission Counselor will also manage regional programming, cultivate relationships with high schools and counselors, and interact with alumni associations. The university is strategically filling this role at the counselor level instead of an assistant director level to save on salary costs while still meeting enrollment and revenue goals, leveraging the existing team's skill set. The position requires supporting students and families through the college search and application process, managing territory recruitment data, serving on the admission committee, articulating the university's mission and offerings, and analyzing data using the Slate CRM. The role also involves counseling students on financial aid and scholarships, and producing recruitment progress reports.
