About The Position

General Function: Screens and recruits students for the Job Corps Program by making and maintaining a network of referral sources such as students already in the Job Corps Program, the Community Advisory Board, churches, etc. Must be available to work 1 evening (10:00am-7:00pm per week and 1 weekend-4.0hrs Saturday and 4.0hrs o Sunday- on a rotation on the Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center. Monday - Friday at the Independence Onestop office

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social science, Education, Counseling, Business or a related field and one year of teaching or job placement counseling experience is required.
• One year of experience working with disadvantaged youth required.
• An Associate Degree in Social Science, Education, Counseling, Business or a related field and four years of teaching or job replacement counseling experience is required.
• Two years' experience working with disadvantaged youth required.
• A valid Regular Driver License is required.
