About The Position

The Admission Coordinator is responsible for managing the admission process for new residents. This includes scheduling and conducting tours for prospective families and applicants, providing information about the facility and other Integritus Healthcare services, and collecting necessary application information. The role acts as a liaison between referral sources and the facility, ensuring timely clinical and financial approvals. The coordinator also ensures that all relevant departments are informed and prepared for new admissions, coordinates with the Business Office for financial clearance, and completes admission paperwork. Additionally, the position is involved in customer satisfaction surveys, marketing plan development, census maximization, and employee recognition and development. The Admission Coordinator must adhere to all facility policies, safety regulations, and maintain resident confidentiality and professional representation of the facility.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain clinical and financial approval through appropriate channels within 15-30 minutes.
  • Ability to assure the appropriate facility managers have the appropriate information to coordinate resident care for new admissions.
  • Ability to coordinate with rehab, social work, nursing, dietary and other departments as needed.
  • Ability to obtain clinical approval from nursing management prior to admission of the resident.
  • Ability to assure payor source is clear prior to admission.
  • Ability to complete admission paperwork with the resident and/or appropriate family member.
  • Ability to assure OBRA and PASAAR regulations are met prior to admission.
  • Ability to notify all managers of new resident admission via placing completed face sheet in staff mailboxes.
  • Ability to coordinate customer satisfaction survey efforts with facility leadership and home office staff.
  • Ability to act as a champion for customer service in the facility.
  • Ability to support the maximization of census through effective internal marketing efforts.
  • Ability to engage in the rounding for outcomes strategy with residents and families.
  • Ability to assume any duties that are assigned by the administrator.
  • Ability to track referrals in data base weekly.
  • Ability to give administrator referral information on a monthly basis.
  • Ability to make efforts to recognize employees, educate and train employees, and promotes employee growth.
  • Ability to assure a check and balance systems are in place to identify potential system breakdowns.
  • Ability to attend mandatory in-services held at the facility in a timely manner.
  • Understanding and adherence to all safety, infection control, sanitation, accident, fire, disaster and personnel policies and procedures of the facility.
  • Ability to promote a culture of safety.
  • Ability to discuss any problems, needs or concerns that arise with the appropriate manager and/or the administrator.
  • Understanding and upholding the Residents' Bill of Rights.
  • Ability to hold all resident information confidential.
  • Ability to represent this facility and the organization in a professional manner.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and mannerisms according to facility standards.
  • Ability to maintain an acceptable level of attendance in accordance with facility policy.
  • Ability to display a polite and courteous manner to all fellow employees, residents, and visitors.

Responsibilities
