Responsibilities

Managing the intake process for psychiatric patients.
Conducting intakes and completing inquiry forms.
Reviewing admission packets to ensure they meet established criteria.
Maintaining intake logs.
Gathering data for Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
Communicating potential admissions effectively with physicians and the Director of Nursing.
Initiating demographic entries on face sheets and episodes of care.
Compiling insurance information for new admits.
Assembling patient charts.
Completing insurance verifications once patients have been accepted by the physician.
