About The Position

This is a training position with direct oversight by a licensed Precepting Administrator. The Administrator In Training (AIT) will assist in analyzing various operations within a nursing facility, act as a liaison between the facility, residents, families, and the community, and compile reports on budget projections, revenue, and expenses. The AIT will be a role model for the company's Mission, Vision, and Values, ensuring all individuals are treated with respect. This role involves active participation in community groups, developing relationships with local healthcare professionals, monitoring industry regulations, and understanding staffing requirements. The AIT will also assist in policy and procedural changes, resolve HR and Risk Management issues, and contribute to capital improvements and safety programs. Additionally, the AIT will develop and maintain a strong industry reputation, foster relationships with the support team, assist in contract negotiations, support clinical efforts, monitor collections and A/R, and develop strategies for employee engagement and retention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Healthcare Administration or Business preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite products.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in analyzing the various operations within a nursing facility

  • Develops and executes creative ideas to increase employee engagement and minimize turnover
  • Assisting in managing and overseeing multiple levels of employees either directly or indirectly. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, hiring, training, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, resolving problems and terminations.
