About The Position

Gateway Healthcare Nebraska is seeking motivated, future-focused leaders to join our Administrator in Training (AIT) Program. This immersive, hands-on leadership program is designed for individuals pursuing licensure as a Skilled Nursing Home Administrator and looking to build a long-term career in healthcare operations and executive leadership. If you are passionate about leading teams, improving patient care, and making a meaningful impact in post-acute healthcare, this program offers the mentorship, experience, and support to help you grow into a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Must meet state requirements for Nursing Home Administrator licensure eligibility

  • Willingness to complete the Administrator in Training (AIT) program in either Omaha, NE or Beatrice, NE, with flexibility to relocate following completion of the program preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gain exposure to all aspects of skilled nursing and senior care operations.
  • Train directly under an experienced Administrator mentor.
  • Learn about skilled nursing facility operations.
  • Develop leadership and team management skills.
  • Understand clinical and regulatory compliance.
  • Study CMS and state survey processes.
  • Engage in risk management and healthcare compliance.
  • Learn budgeting and fiscal operations.
  • Understand human resources and staffing.
  • Develop customer service and resident experience skills.
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across departments.
