About The Position

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Administrator II- Finance (Capital Asset) to provide administrative and process support for capital and fixed asset activities. This role involves maintaining documentation, assisting with monthly processes, tracking project progress, organizing files, supporting asset register cleanup, and coordinating with various internal teams. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with a basic understanding of accounting and finance principles. Requirements

  • 2 years of prior experience in administrative support, accounting support, project coordination, or asset management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records, trackers, and supporting documentation.
  • Ability to organize and follow up on projects, invoices, purchases, asset tagging, and in-service date documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and shared file storage tools.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with Finance, Tax, Shared Services, project managers, procurement, logistics, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable preparing checklists, meeting notes, status updates, screenshots, and audit support documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize deadlines, and support period-end close activities in a timely manner.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to document processes clearly and consistently.
  • High level of confidentiality, reliability, and accountability when handling financial and project-related information.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of capital assets, fixed assets, accounting, finance, or administrative business processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and process support for capital and fixed asset activities.
  • Maintain CAR and PIP documentation.
  • Assist with monthly new additions and capitalization support.
  • Track project manager responses and in-service date updates.
  • Organize close files, screenshots, reconciliations, and SOX audit evidence.
  • Support asset register cleanup, tagging, location/address updates, and physical asset review projects.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Tax, Shared Services, project managers, procurement, and logistics teams.
  • Prepare checklists, status trackers, meeting notes, and follow-up communications.
  • Ensure capital projects, asset transfers, budget updates, and fixed asset records are complete, accurate, timely, and well documented.
