About The Position

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. The Workday Time Tracking Administrator is responsible for the configuration, administration, and ongoing support of Workday Time Tracking module. Reporting to the Workday Lead, this role ensures accurate time capture, pay calculation readiness, and compliance with company policies. In addition to traditional hourly workforce support, this role will own the design and management of time tracking for salaried employees capturing project-based work, ensuring visibility into labor allocation, operational reporting, and business insights. This individual plays a critical role in payroll accuracy, workforce compliance, and labor tracking transparency across the organization.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on Workday experience in a post-implementation support environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, human resources, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong expertise in Workday Time Tracking module.
  • Strong understanding of time tracking configurations and calculations as well as payroll processes and dependencies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to spot issues and risks and escalate when appropriate.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines with a sense of urgency.
  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Workday Time Tracking including time entry templates, work schedules and shift configurations, time calculation rules (overtime, premiums, differentials), and time entry codes and validations.
  • Configure and support multiple time tracking populations including hourly employees (payroll-driven time capture) and salaried employees tracking project-based or activity-based time.
  • Design and maintain time tracking frameworks for salaried employees including custom time entry codes, allocation structures for internal reporting, and required vs option time entry enforcement.
  • Own the end-to-end design and governance of salaried employee time tracking for project and operational reporting.
  • Partner with HR and Operations to define project or cost allocation structures, reporting hierarchies and rollups, and data outputs for downstream systems or analysis.
  • Develop controls to ensure completeness and consistency of time entry and alignment with business expectations.
  • Optimize user experience to balance data capture needs vs employee burden.
  • Ensure hourly time data is accurate and payroll ready.
  • Partner closely with Payroll to validate time calculations prior to payroll processing and resolve discrepancies impacting pay.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to missing or incorrect time entries, overtime miscalculations, retroactive adjustments, timecard errors, approval workflow issues, project allocation inconsistencies, accrual discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve time entry processes and user experience and automate allocation or reporting processes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to evolve the project-based time tracking model as business needs change.
  • Drive adoption of salaried time tracking practices including training managers and employees and communicating expectations and policies.
  • Update and/or develop clear job aids and guidance for time entry and project allocation.
  • Assess impact of Workday bi-annual releases on Time Tracking.
  • Coordinate testing and validation in Sandbox/Preview environments.
  • Validate configurations for both payroll-driven time tracking and project-based salaried time tracking.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for time tracking configurations, project-based time tracking frameworks, and business processes and workflows.
  • Ensure documentation supports AMS collaboration, audits, and scalability.
