About The Position

The Region of Peel is seeking two (2) Administrator / Executive Director roles to lead distinct, high-impact environments in long-term care. One role is at Malton Village in Mississauga, a pioneer in dementia care innovation and the first home in Ontario to implement the Butterfly Model of Care. The other role is at Peel Manor in Brampton, a leading center for seniors wellness and integrated care, part of a transformative Seniors Health and Wellness Village model. Both positions offer a unique opportunity to lead in innovative, person-centred care models that are shaping the future of the sector. The Administrator/Executive Director will have full responsibility for operations, quality, people, and performance, aligned with the Seniors Services Strategic Plan (2024–2029).

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Health Sciences, Management, Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in long-term care.
  • Completion of a long-term care home administration/management program (minimum 100 hours).
  • Experience working with the Butterfly Model of Care or other emotion-based care philosophies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable legislation and standards, including the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in a unionized environment, managing complexity and competing priorities.
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, and operational planning expertise.
  • Proven experience leading quality improvement, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, staff, unions, senior leadership, and external partners, and for preparing reports, policies, and recommendations.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
