The Administrator, Ambulatory Surgery Center is responsible for proactively managing key operational systems including Quality, Service Design, Process Design, Location, Layout, People and Work Systems. This role establishes and monitors Continuous Quality Improvement performance standards. The Administrator is expected to have a visible presence in assigned service areas, engaging with processes, monitoring performance, and building relationships to improve collective results. A commitment to a safe environment for patients, customers, and guests is essential, with a requirement to respond to service concerns in person. The position also involves facilitating the individual development of staff through effective selection, orientation, performance evaluation, interpersonal communication, and coaching, while maintaining employee satisfaction ratings above peer group norms or achieving consistent improvement. Financial stewardship includes managing direct expenses according to budget, seeking growth opportunities, managing the revenue cycle, and updating Senior Management on variances with qualitative and quantitative analysis and action plans. Resource planning involves preparing budgets, evaluating tasks for efficiency improvements, and prioritizing capital needs. The role focuses on improving customer/patient loyalty, immediately investigating and resolving concerns, acting as a change agent for patient-focused care, and maintaining ongoing compliance with licensure, regulatory, and accreditation standards. The Administrator supports committees, organizes and facilitates board meetings, advises the Executive Team on best practices, and fosters collaboration. Partnerships with surgeons and anesthesia providers are crucial for ensuring a safe environment and smooth workflow, while upholding quality and compliance standards. Other duties as assigned.
