About The Position

Performs administrative and technical duties in support of department operations. Essential Functions ● Drafts and prepares correspondence, memoranda, notices, brochures, pamphlets, forms and other related materials. ● Administers and coordinates department budget processes and documents. Analyzes division budgets, oversees purchase process, prepares reports and tracks department expenditures. ● Administers and monitors contracts and purchase orders. Ensures compliance with City policies and prevailing wage laws. ● Manages the Transfer Station records, billing and charge accounts and established new accounts. ● Assists in the training of office personnel; assists with citizen’s concerns and problems; monitors and relays radio communications. ● Administers grant programs for the department. Ensures compliance with grant requirements before and after receiving the grant and submits required documents and reports. ● Manages the department safety training program. Ensures all employees receive minimal training annually, performs safety training sessions and produces monthly and quarterly reports on the department’s safety training program. ● Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Three (3) years of responsible administrative experience.
