About The Position

Texas Panhandle Centers is seeking an Administrative Technician (1189) to deliver trauma-informed care and supervision to adults (18+) across Amarillo and the surrounding service area of the Texas Panhandle. This role is ideal for human services graduates looking to gain direct clinical experience in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team environment.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
  • American Sign Language proficiency is a strong plus.
  • 1 to 3 years of direct staff supervision, team leadership, or program management experience.
  • Direct care background involving hands-on service delivery or care coordination for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Experience coordinating and assisting in the arts and crafts, music, education, and recreation activities.
  • Ability to provide training, maintain records, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to interact easily with people in a variety of situations and settings.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing and have basic computer skills.
  • Experience in designing programs and working with persons with Intellectual and developments disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful trauma-informed care language.
  • Manage and supervise staff who provide direct care of individuals attending the Individualized Skills and Socialization (ISS)/Day Habilitation program.
  • Provide supervision and care to clients with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
  • Hire, train, and supervise assigned direct care staff.
  • Attend meetings and collaborate with the team and clients to create strategies, and plans for each client to reach their goals in the program.
  • Complete necessary documentation within requested timelines.
  • Meet established productivity standards.
  • Adhere to TPC Business Code of Conduct and report concerns when ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised.
