About The Position

Provides administrative support to the Institutional Advancement Division, including the Bladen Community College Foundation, marketing, recruitment, and printshop.

Requirements

  • Minimum Associate degree (AA) from an accredited institution in office administration or business administration or related field.
  • Good to excellent computer and office application skills.
  • Basic accounting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and examinations.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively and professionally to students, faculty or other visitors to the campus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to learn other software as needed.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain donor and marketing contact lists to include research and updating of both email, physical addresses and phone numbers.
  • Admit students to the food pantry and update Adviso following pantry access.
  • Serve as back-up for data entry and file maintenance for confidential gift records and donor management files.
  • Check and disseminate mail daily, prepare donor acknowledgement letters for the Foundation in the absence of the administrative assistant.
  • Send communications through Constant Contact and Shape software.
  • Visit area businesses and organizations to distribute marketing materials or hang posters and signs.
  • Assist with parade set-up to include float repairs.
  • Assist with coordination of the Foundation, marketing, and recruitment events, including picking up food and supplies, set-up and breakdown of events.
  • Learn how to use all Printshop machines and assist with production as needed.
  • Deliver paper and print jobs across campus as needed.
  • Upload messages to the marquee.
  • Assist with photography.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
