About The Position

Are you an organized, adaptable, and client-focused administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We have an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting a diverse range of programs while serving as a welcoming and knowledgeable first point of contact for Albertans. In this role, you will provide a wide variety of administrative functions focusing on integrated delivery across various program streams. This role supports a diverse range of program areas, including fisheries and wildlife, air and water, contaminated sites, emergency response and management, regulatory approvals and compliance, and public lands and rangeland management. You will work collaboratively with the administrative team and play a significant role as a front-line contact, meeting and greeting Albertans, and displaying a sound knowledge of departmental procedures and processes. The ideal candidate brings strong communication and listening skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate proactive problem-solving, the ability to adapt to changing priorities and enjoys making a meaningful contribution through exceptional client service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Class 5 Driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing administrative support within government, public sector, or large organizations.
  • Experience delivering customer service in public‑facing or internal support roles, including working in high‑volume or deadline-driven environments.
  • Working knowledge of various programs such as CARS and GLIMPS and additional electronic filings systems as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a wide variety of administrative functions focusing on integrated delivery across various program streams.

  • Maintain a good filing system, easily accessible by staff and auditors.
  • Process accounts payable and revenue transactions.
