About The Position

The Administrative Support position consists of completing administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment, as well as researching and analyzing assigned topics. This position is required to electronically file a Form 1 – Statement of Financial Interests with the Florida Commission on Ethics within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

Responsibilities

  • Performs special assignments, research, and report preparation.
  • Assists supervisor in handling daily administrative duties and acts in matters where authority has been delegated.
  • Prepares confidential correspondence, secures information necessary for preparing replies, and answers telephone inquiries.
  • Processes a variety of correspondence, researches subject matter, and prepares replies.
  • Trains clerical or other administrative personnel to ensure accurate and smooth work flow of the unit.
  • Performs general office management duties.
  • Assists in planning committee meetings and workshops.
  • Prepares notices, detailed committee agendas, bill analyses, and other meeting materials.
  • Records and finalizes meeting reports.
  • Acts as official custodian of bills referred to committee.
  • Drafts amendments and bills and edits committee bills, bill analyses, and other documents.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
